The Landesgalerie of the Landesmuseum in Hannover has announced the acquisition of a Portrait of Willem van der Muelen by the Utrecht painter Jan Cornelisz. van Loenen. The painting was bought by the Fritz Behrens-Stiftung to complement the Dutch Baroque holdings of the museum. It is offered to the museum as a long-term loan.
