The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud is currently preparing very first exhibition devoted to the work of Godefridus Schalcken (1643-1706): Glanz & Glamour , 25.9. 2015 – 20.1. 2016.
Since the publication of Thierry Beherman’s Catalogue raisonné in 1988 new information on life and work of the artist showed up, but the whereabouts of many documented paintings are unknown and definitely more paintings than listed by Beherman are still to be traced.
Therefore we would appreciate any information that you can provide on paintings or drawings by Godefridus Schalcken, especially concerning the following works:

Portrait of Elisabeth van Blijswijk, pendant to the Portrait of Barthout Govertsz van Slingelandt, copper, 46,6 x 36,4 cm, documented by a drawing, probably sold by the heirs between 1811 and 1840
Doctor’s Visit, oak, 34 x 29 cm, signed and dated 1669, on loan from a private collection to the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum Cologne until 2004
