CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

CODART member Hiroshi Kumazawa reports from Japan

During the CODART VEERTIEN congress in Enschede associate CODART-member Hiroshi Kumazawa adressed the congress through YouTube on the current situation in Japan, after the natural disaster two weeks ago.

After his message of 13 March on this website, Hiroshi spoke to our members once more via a ten-minute video on YouTube, which was shown to the congress participants at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe last Monday. For those of you who were not attending the congress we have made the video available to you here on our website. He speaks to us about the moment of the earthquake, which started during the opening of the exhibition Rembrandt, the quest for chiaroscuro at the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo, and about the state of his country at the moment. You can watch the YouTube video by clicking on the link below.

We thank Hiroshi for his contribution.
