You can now register for CODART 24 by filling out the online registration form. Please make sure to fill out every applicable point of the form. After we have received your registration, you will receive a confirmation email within a few days, as well as an invoice concerning the congress fee. The fee includes admission to all museums and institutions visited during the congress, the opening reception, lunch on Monday, the congress dinner and coffee breaks. Lunch on Tuesday is at your own expense. Payment information will be sent along with the invoice you will receive after we have processed and confirmed your registration.
The congress is limited to a maximum of 120 participants, including a limited number of CODART Patrons. Registration requests will be handled in the order in which they are received. Priority will be given to full members. Associate members will be placed on a reserve list and will be notified of their registration status after 31 January 2023.
Registration for CODART members
The early registration congress fee is 375 euros. Please complete your registration on or before 30 January 2023 to qualify for the early registration rate. Registration after this date will cost 425 euros.
The fee for the optional full-day excursion to Ghent on Wednesday 15 March is 55 euros. The fee for the excursion to the churches of Zoutleeuw and Geel on the same day is 65 euros.
Payment of your annual member contribution is required to participate in CODART events.
Registration for CODART Patrons
The early registration congress fee for Patrons and Business Sponsors of CODART is 475 euros. To qualify for the early registration rate, you are required to complete your registration on or before 30 January 2023. Registration after this date will cost 525 euros. Please note that only a limited number of Patrons and Business Sponsors can participate. Participation will be determined by drawing lots. The deadline for application is 13 February 2023.
The fee for the optional full-day excursion to Ghent on Wednesday 15 March is 85 euros. The fee for the excursion to the churches of Zoutleeuw and Geel on Wednesday 15 March 2023 is 95 euros. Please note that only a limited number of Patrons can participate in both excursions.
The CODART congresses are international gatherings at which knowledge and expertise are exchanged at various levels, both formally and informally. CODART’s strength resides in the spontaneity of this interaction. Our Members give generously of their expertise because they know that the information they share will be treated confidentially. We therefore rely on our Patrons’ discretion and ask them to agree with the terms set out in our Code of Conduct before registration. Download the Code of Conduct (PDF file opens in new tab).
In 2023 we will make use of two congress hotels: Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central and B&B Hotel Antwerpen Centrum. Both hotels are located close to Antwerp Central Station and the city center. From both hotels it is approximately a thirty minute walk to the KMSKA, but the museum can be reached by public transport as well.
Once your registration is approved you will receive a link from us that will allow you to reserve a room in one of the congress hotels. Booking via our link guarantees the rates below. When using other options to book a room in one of the congress hotels, this price cannot be guaranteed.
Payments will be made in euros at the rate of exchange at the moment of payment. Single rooms at the B&B Hotel cost € 99 per night and double rooms € 109 per night. Both single and double rooms in the Hampton by Hilton are € 110 per night. Prices in both hotels include breakfast, taxes (except for a city tax of € 2,97 per person per night) and free Wi-Fi. Individual bookings can be cancelled until 15 days before the date of arrival. In case of later cancellation, no show, or in case of early departure, the entire stay will be charged.
You can check in in both hotels from 15:00/3 PM onwards. Checking out is required before 12:00/12 PM.

CODART will arrange transport to and from the storage rooms of The Phoebus Foundation on Monday, and the optional Wednesday excursion to Zoutleeuw and Geel. Participants of these excursions will be informed about this via email before the start of the congress and in the congress folder.
Traveling to, from, and in Belgium
Antwerp can easily be reached via airplane or (international) train. A direct train from Paris and Amsterdam runs several times a day. More information about international trains can be found here. The closest airport is Brussels Zaventem Airport, which is connected directly to Antwerp Central Station by train. A train will leave from the airport every thirty minutes, arriving in Antwerp after half an hour travel time. Belgium has an elaborate railway network that connects most cities to each other. You can find more information on time tables, prices, and booking your ticket on the site of the Belgian Railways (NMBS).
Public transport in Antwerp
Many of the congress locations in Antwerp are within walking distance of each other, especially the locations within the city center. However, Antwerp also has a sophisticated public transport network operated by De Lijn. More information and time tables can be found here.
If you want to make use of the bus or tram, you are advised to buy your tickets at a point of pre-sale (e.g. newsagents, supermarkets, the vending machines at various ticket stops or via the De Lijn-app). Tickets can also be bought in buses or trams, but you will be charged more. A single use ticket is valid for 60 minutes after first use and costs € 2,50. If you are planning to make use of the bus and tram more than once a day, or on every congress day, we advise you to buy a one-day or three-day ticket. As mentioned above it takes approximately thirty-minutes to get from the congress hotels to the KMSKA on foot. You can also reach the museum by tram or bus. If you want to use public transport to get to the museum, you can take Tram 1 from Antwerpen Opera, which runs every 10 minutes. More information on how to get to the museum and the other congress locations will be available in the congress folder which you will receive at the opening reception.
The Antwerp City Hall, where the opening reception on Sunday takes place, is approximately a 25-minute walk away from both congress hotels. You can also take Tram 9 or 15 from either Antwerpen Opera Metro Station (closer to B&B Hotel Antwerpen Centrum) or Antwerpen Diamant Metro Station (closer to Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station) that run every 7 minutes.
Would you rather go by bike? That is also an option. Antwerp offers an easy-to-use bicycle sharing service called Velo. You see the white and red bikes everywhere in the city. More information on how it works can be found on the Velo website.
Terms and conditions
In registering for this event, you agree to the inclusion of your professional contact details in our event documentation, both in the event papers and continuously on our website. It goes without saying that your personal information will be treated with all due care and will not be shared with third parties.
Cancellations made on or before 6 February will be refunded with deduction of bank charges and postage. When you cancel between 6 and 20 February, you will be refunded 75% of the registration fee; between 20 February and 5 March 2023 you will be refunded 50% of the fee; and when you cancel on 6 March 2023 or later you will not receive a refund of the registration fee.
CODART does not accept any liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants, or loss of, or damage to their personal property during the congress. Participants are advised to arrange a liability insurance.
CODART reserves the right to make changes to the program. Changes may be made without notice. In case of insufficient registrations for parts of the program f.i. excursions, CODART may cancel the scheduled event.
