Claire Whitner Named Director of Curatorial Affairs at Worcester Art Museum

The Worcester Art Museum has named Claire Chandler Whitner, a specialist in German modernism and seventeenth-century Dutch art, as Director of Curatorial Affairs and Curator of European art. She will take up the post on August 20.

Whitner joins the institution from the Davis Museum at Wellesley College, where she has worked since 2014, most recently as the Assistant Director of Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator. During her tenure at the institution, she oversaw the re-installation of the Davis’s permanent collection and curated a number of exhibition.

Claire Chandler Whitner has been a Member of CODART since 2015.
