Musea Brugge announced the appointment of Kristl Strubbe as its new Director, effective 1 August 2025. In this role, Strubbe will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all operations across Musea Brugge’s diverse portfolio of museums and monuments located in and around the historic city of Bruges.

Currently leading Museum Hof van Busleyden in Mechelen, Strubbe brings a wealth of experience. Her background includes serving as a strategic advisor for cultural institutions in both Flanders and the Netherlands, as well as directing the Flemish heritage organization Herita. Earlier in her career, she was a finance alderman in Mechelen and worked as a journalist across radio, television, and print.
