Museum director and CODART member Patrick van Mil was appointed Knight of the Order of Orange Nassau last Friday, September 6, during his farewell reception at the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar.
After more than seven years, Patrick van Mil retired as director of the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar. Van Mil had worked in the cultural sector for more than 43 years, and had been director of the Alkmaar museum since December 2016. In addition to his work as a museum director, he was also involved in various social activities.
Patrick van Mil received the royal decoration for his significant contribution to the growth and reputation of the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, as well as to the cultural development of the region.
