New CODARTfeature: Dutch and Flemish Prints in Museo di Capodimonte

A new feature has been published on the CODART website. This month, Emma C. de Jong introduces us to the Dutch and Flemish prints in the Firmian Collection at the Museo di Capodimonte. Acquired by the eighteenth century Austrian diplomat Carlo Firmian, it contains over 1,500 prints from the Low Countries, which have thus far received little scholarly attention. They are now being extensively researched for a digitization project, which will make the entire collection accessible online.

“The Capodimonte Museum in Naples, Italy, is best known for its collection of Italian Renaissance and Baroque paintings, but it also houses an impressive collection of works on paper.
