Important Private Collection, Aetas Aurea, Launches Online Catalogue

Fondation Aetas Aurea, a private collection mainly of Dutch and Flemish masters of the 17th century, is now available online at http://www.aetas-aurea.com/.

The Aetas Aureas collection, built up by George Kremer, contains important paintings by a choice of masters. Kremer maintains an active loan program, making his paintings available for display in museum exhibitions.

The website contains an online catalogue of the paintings, with brief entries. A complete scholarly catalogue of the holdings was published on paper in 2002, Dutch and Flemish Old Masters from the Kremer Collection. The entire printing was donated to the Johan Maurits Compagnie Foundation, in support of the Mauritshuis. The catalogue can be purchased via the website.

Visitors to http://www.aetas-aurea.com/ can subscribe to a newsletter, the first installment of which will go out in the first days of October 2005.

Update, January 2015:

the website has been moved to www.thekremercollection.com
