Ons Erfdeel Launches ‘The Low Countries’ Website

On 1 April 2019, Ons Erfdeel, publisher of the periodical Ons Erfdeel and Septentrion, launched the new website: www.the-low-countries.com. The site provides daily updates on everything related to cultural life in the Low Countries. The website is also available in Dutch at www.de-lage-landen.com and French at www.les-plats-pays.com.

The low countries aims to be a high road to culture in Flanders and the Netherlands. Its mission is to provide an English-language audience with the necessary background knowledge to be able to appreciate the arts, history, language, history, literature and social developments in the Low Countries. It pays special attention to connections between Dutch and English-speaking communities. the low countries is a website of the Flemish-Dutch cultural institution Ons Erfdeel vzw.

To celebrate CODART’s twentieth anniversary last year, Ons Erfdeel and CODART jointly developed the theme of the twenty-sixth edition of The Low Countries yearbook. The last edition of the yearbook to appear in print was guest-edited by Manfred Sellink, General Director and Head Curator at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, and included a number of contributions by CODART members. The special issue of The Low Countries can be ordered through the website of Ons Erfdeel. A select number of short articles is also re-published as Hidden Gems in the latest issue of the CODART eZine.
