Call for sessions and workshops: 2014 HNA/AANS International Interdisciplinary Conference (Boston: June 5-7, 2014)

The Conference Program Committee of The Historians of Netherlandish Art solicits Session and Workshop proposals for the organization’s quadrennial conference, to be held in Boston, June 5-7, 2014. For the first time, this event will take place together and in cooperation with the conference of The American Association for Netherlandic Studies. We welcome proposals for sessions that represent new directions in the study of Netherlandish art between 1350 and 1750. Proposals may focus on individual disciplines within this chronological spectrum or feature interdisciplinary approaches and collaborative endeavors. Sessions will be two hours long with a maximum of four papers each. We also invite proposals for workshops designed to allow for group discussion of focused topics. Workshop proposals should define the matter to be addressed and describe how discussion will be generated. Session and Workshop Chairs and speakers must be members of HNA or AANS at the time of the conference.

Prospective session and workshop proposals should be sent via e-mail by May 15, 2013, to Paul Crenshaw, Chair of the Program Committee:

paul.crenshaw@providence.edu

Submissions will be acknowledged via email.
