CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

June issue of Print Quarterly (Volume XXXIII, No. 2) published

The contributions with Dutch and/or Flemish content include an article by Jan de Jong on Arnout van Buchel’s Description of Italy, 1587-88, and one by Eckhard Leuschner tracing the origin of Bernini’s Anima Beata and Anima Damnata sculptures to previously unknown prints by Pieter de Jode I. The issue also contains a shorter notice by Karen Bowen with new information on how to date Frans Hogenberg’s views of the wars of religion in the Low Countries. A note by Peter Fuhring reviews a publication on the Antwerp-born Erasmus Hornick.
