Mauritshuis Reference Library now open by appointment

New since the reopening of the Mauritshuis is a library focused on the Mauritshuis collection. It is located on the second floor of the Royal Dutch Shell Wing and is open to visitors by appointment only. The reference library contains Mauritshuis publications, such as collection and exhibition catalogues, annual reports, and information about the building. The library also holds publications related to the collection, in particular Dutch and Flemish painting of the fifteenth through the eighteenth centuries. This includes monographs, collection and exhibition catalogues from other museums, art-historical journals, and other reference works. Files about accessioned objects in the collection and other documentation are also available for consultation.

Researchers, specialists, students and others with specific questions about particular items in the collection or the building are welcome to consult the library by appointment.
