On 1, 2 and 3 December an international colloquium will spotlight the painter-architect in the Renaissance and Baroque period. The Rubenianum and the Department of Design Sciences of Antwerp University College are pleased to announce that the colloquium is now open for registration.
In conjunction with the “Palazzo Rubens. The Master as Architect” exhibition, the Rubenianum, the Rubens House and the Department of Design of the University of Antwerp will organize an international colloquium. Under the title “The Notion of the Painter-Architect in Italy and the Southern Netherlands”, international specialists will explore and present the meaning of design or “disegno” in Renaissance and Baroque architecture and painting.
