In 2009 the Rijksmuseum launched the online catalog Early Netherlandish Paintings. It includes some 160 works by artists born before 1500. The catalog was not accessible during the years that followed the launch of the museum´s new website in 2012. As of today it is available again.

Works by artists such as Lucas van Leyden, Jheronimus Bosch, Jan van Scorel and Maerten van Heemskerck are presented with an abundance of scientific material. Apart from an entry and a biography of the artist, the catalog data include technical data, provenance, literature and supporting imagery.
