I am currently completing for publication the update of my monograph on the Amsterdam painter and stone merchant Thomas de Keyser. In addition to an analysis of his career in the context of economic developments and patronage networks, the monograph includes an extensive section of new documents, along with a catalogue raisonné. Before this goes to the publisher, I would like to make one final appeal for help in locating several paintings that I have not been able to track down over the last twenty-five years; attempts to contact the buyers of those that have appeared more recently on the market have not been successful.
