This month Gero Seelig bade farewell to the Staatliches Museum Schwerin, where he was a curator for 25 years. On this occasion, he was interviewed by Corinna Gannon, Assistant Curator at the Städel in Frankfurt. They look back on his career, its highlights, what has changed over the past decades, and Gero shares some advice for young curators.

“One of the things that has given me a lot of strength has been the joy of preparing special exhibitions and finding new ways of presenting my permanent collection.
