In the fall of 2023, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Antwerp (KMSKA) will host its first international loan exhibition since its major reopening. For this project, curators Nico Van Hout and Koen Bulckens are trying to locate a painting of a smoker attributed to Adriaen Brouwer. The picture last appeared at auction in Milan in 2009.
