CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

CODART and the Friends of CODART Foundation Publish Annual Reports of 2024

The annual reports of CODART and the Friends of CODART Foundation for the year 2024 have been published.

After a festive anniversary in 2023, CODART focused on the future and organized several international activities in 2024, both online and in person, for members and friends of CODART. Highlights included the fully booked annual conference in Stockholm, as well as various focus meetings and online activities that brought together curators and others interested in Dutch and Flemish art.

2024 was also the year in which the activity plan for the period 2025-2028 was finalized, which focuses on the further development of the network, but also on the support of emerging curators. In addition, 2024 marked the start of CODART’s digital strategy – an important part of CODART’s future plans. A new mission and vision were also formulated and the statutes have been revised to bring it fully in line with the Dutch Governance Code for Culture. Furthermore, a new collaboration with the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp enables CODART to receive support from the Flemish Government in 2024 and 2025, and creates the possibility of qualifying for a structural contribution for the period 2026-2030.

Like CODART, the Friends of CODART Foundation looked to the future in 2024, finalizing its policy plan for the period 2025-2028. Five new Patrons, two new Business Sponsors, and six new Donors were welcomed to the network. Many of them attended one or more of the activities organized for Friends, such as the Day for Friends at art fair BRAFA in Brussels, the Patrons Salon at TEFAF Maastricht or at the Friends Afternoon at PAN Amsterdam. The Friends of CODART supported the annual CODART congress in Stockholm, which thirteen CODART members were able to participate in thanks to a grant from the Friends of CODART Grant Program.

Both the annual report of CODART and the annual report of the Friends of CODART Foundation are available (in Dutch) on the CODART website.
