The Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden organizes a seven-part series of online lectures on the occasion of the exhibition Johannes Vermeer. On Reflection. These curators’ talks take place from 12 October to 14 December and are either in English or German. Advance registration is required and the event is limited to 500 participants. Dr. Betsy Wieseman, Curator and Head of the Department of Northern European Paintings, National Gallery of Art in Washington, will talk about Vermeer’s ‘Woman Holding a Balance’ from the National Gallery of Art in Washington. The talk will be followed by a Q&A. The painting is on display in our exhibition ‘Johannes Vermeer. On Reflection’ at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister until 2 January 2022.
