New museum of Flemish culture opens in Cassel (France) on 23 October

On 23 October, a new museum of Flemish culture will open in Cassel, in the French part of Flanders. The museum aims to show the width of Flemish culture. Housed in l’Hôtel de la Noble-Cour in Cassel, a fine example of Flemish architecture, the museum shows Flemish culture from the past to present in many different forms.

The museum will open with the exhibition Sensualité et Volupté, about the female body in Flemish painting of the 16th and 17th centuries.
