Patrick van Mil new director of Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar

The supervisory board of Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar has appointed Patrick van Mil as its new director. Starting the first of December, he succeeds Lidewij de Koekkoek, who will become the new director of the Rembrandt House Museum.

Patrick van Mil is the director of Museum Prinsenhof in Delft since 2013. He oversaw the reorganization of three cultural heritage institutions, the new presentation of the museum’s permanent collection, and more recently the return of Vermeer’s ‘The Little Street’ to Delft.
