From September 2006 to September 2007, highlights of the Rijksmuseum collection of Dutch 17th-century art traveled to the following museums in the United States:

Dayton, Ohio, Dayton Art Institute (24 September 2006-7 January 2007)
Phoenix, Arizona, Phoenix Art Museum (28 January-6 May 2007)
Portland, Oregon, Portland Art Museum (26 May-16 September 2007)

The exhibitions drew large crowds at all venues:
Dayton: 55,250
Phoenix: 128,972
Portland: 90,000

In all, the exhibition, curated by Ruud Priem, was seen by 275,000 visitors.

Another selection of highlights from the Rijksmuseum, also curated by Priem, opens in the Shanghai Museum on 2 November, where it will run until 18 February 2008.
