New Curator in the Spotlight: Cécile Tainturier

In the latest edition of Curator in the Spotlight, Cécile Tainturier tells us how she found her place at the Fondation Custodia in Paris, after initially studying law in Cologne. She reveals how the upcoming exhibition on Jacobus Vrel originated during a CODART meeting and about her favorite projects of the past. Cécile has dedicated her contribution as Curator in the Spotlight to Ger Luijten, who passed away in December 2022.

Cécile Tainturier is Curator at Fondation Custodia, Collection Frits Lugt in Paris. She has been a member of CODART since 2007 and a member of the editorial board of CODARTfeatures since 2019.

Curator in the Spotlight

The Curator in the Spotlight is a special feature on the CODART website that introduces one of CODART’s members and their work as a curator of Dutch and Flemish art. Every time a different curator writes about their work, projects and exhibitions, and a piece in their collection that is special to them. Recent curators in the spotlight included Nico Van Hout, Betsy Wieseman, Yuri van der Linden, and Hildegard van de Velde.
