CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

New Curator in the Spotlight: Joanna A. Tomicka

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, this year the Curator in the Spotlight section will feature members that have been involved with CODART since the very beginning.

In the second edition, Joanna A. Tomicka tells us about her career at the National Museum in Warsaw, the way in which CODART has been beneficial to her work, and the changes she has witnessed in the field over the past twenty years, and what she thinks the future will ask of curators.

Joanna A. Tomicka is Curator of European Prints at Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie in Warsaw. She has been a member of CODART since 1998.

Curator in the Spotlight

The Curator in the Spotlight is a special feature on the CODART website that introduces one of CODART’s members and their work as a curator of Dutch and Flemish art. Every time a different curator writes about their work, projects and exhibitions, and a piece in their collection that is special to them. Recent curators in the spotlight included Olga Kotková, Cécile Tainturier, Nico Van Hout, and Betsy Wieseman.
