Deep Storage or Open Depot: Access to the ‘Hidden’ Collections

The CODART TWINTIG congress took place in the Polish capital, Warsaw, from 21 to 23 May 2017. Together with the National Museum in Warsaw and CODART’s program committee we have devised a program that focuses on discussions of this year’s congress theme, Deep Storage or Open Depot: Access to the ‘Hidden’ Collections, as well as providing participants with the opportunity to get to know Poland’s collections of Dutch and Flemish art. In addition, the National Museum in Warsaw is organizing an exhibition of the Dutch and Flemish drawings in their collection especially for the occasion. We are also very grateful to the Royal Castle for kindly offering to host the opening reception on Sunday and the Speakers’ Corner on Tuesday morning. We have been invited to the beautiful Old Orangery at the Royal Łazienki Park for the congress dinner on the evening of Monday, 22 May. An optional day trip to Cracow was organized on Wednesday 24 May, after the official congress program concluded.

The CODART TWINTIG congress was made possible by the National Museum in Warsaw, The Royal Castle in Warsaw, and the Royal Łazienki Museum.
