CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

New Curator in the Spotlight: Justus Lange

In the latest edition of Curator in the Spotlight, Justus Lange tells us how an interest in modern art and a love for Spanish Old Masters led him to Kassel to become a curator at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister. Among other things he talks about the increasing importance of temporary exhibitions and how he enjoys organizing them in collaboration with other institutions. He also sheds light on the exhibition projects he is currently working on, including an exhibition on Tischbein in 2022.

Justus Lange is Chief Curator of the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel in Kassel. He has been a member of CODART since 2009.
