CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

New Curator in the Spotlight: Carina Fryklund

In the latest edition of our Curator in the Spotlight, CODART member Carina Fryklund recounts her experiences as an art history student in the U.S. and tells us about her various research projects on Dutch and Flemish art in Sweden. She offers a closer look at the collection of Dutch and Flemish art at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the rearrangement of the Renaissance and Baroque galleries, which reopened in 2018. Her Curator in the Spotlight contribution is a part of the CODART 2020 congress online, of which you can find the full program here.

Carina is Curator of Old Master Paintings, Drawings and Prints before 1700 at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, Sweden. She has been a member of CODART since 2003.

Curator in the Spotlight

The Curator in the Spotlight is a special feature on the CODART website that introduces one of CODART’s members and their work as a curator of Dutch and Flemish art. Every time a different curator writes about their work, projects and exhibitions, and a piece in their collection that is special to them. Recent curators in the spotlight included Irina Sokolova, Maryan Ainsworth, Stephan Kemperdick and Adam Eaker.
