CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

New Curator in the Spotlight: Femke Diercks

In the latest edition of Curator in the Spotlight, Femke Diercks tells us how she fell in love with the decorative Arts during an internship at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. This experience opened her eyes to the world of objects, the fascinating research questions they raise, and the impact they can have within a gallery.

Femke Diercks is Head of the Decorative Arts Department of the Rijksmuseum. She has been a member of CODART since 2009.

Curator in the Spotlight

The Curator in the Spotlight is a special feature on the CODART website that introduces one of CODART’s members and their work as a curator of Dutch and Flemish art. Every time a different curator writes about their work, projects and exhibitions, and a piece in their collection that is special to them. Recent curators in the spotlight included Justus Lange, Diva Zumaya, Ingmar Reesing, and Robert Wenley.
