In the latest edition of our Curator in the Spotlight section, CODART member Maryan Ainsworth recounts her circuitous route to her dream job and writes about the importance of an interdisciplinary and object-based approach to research. She is curator of Northern Renaissance Painting at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has worked in the Met since 1977. Maryan has been a member CODART since its founding in 1998.
Curator in the Spotlight
The Curator in the Spotlight is a special feature on the CODART website that introduces one of CODART’s members and their work as a curator of Dutch and Flemish art. Every time a different curator writes about their work, projects and exhibitions, and a piece in their collection that is special to them. Recent curators in the spotlight included Stephan Kemperdick, Adam Eaker, Valerie Herremans, and Dorota Juszcak.
Are you a curator of Dutch and Flemish art and a member of CODART and would you like to present your work and your favorite piece in the collection to an international audience, then send us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org
