Join CODART
CODART is an international network for curators of Dutch and Flemish art from ca. 1350 to 1750. Our mission is to connect individuals from diverse museums, fostering the exchange of expertise, artworks, and exhibitions worldwide. We are continually seeking to expand our network through new members, associate members, institutions, and friends.
We offer four distinct ways to join the CODART community:
Membership
Full membership is open to individuals serving as curators of public collections that include a significant amount of Dutch and Flemish art (paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and/or applied arts) created between approximately 1350 and 1750. Eligibility is not restricted to specialists in seventeenth-century art; all museum curators responsible for such collections are invited to apply.

Associate Membership
This option is available to individuals who do not hold a curatorial position but whose work is deemed essential to CODART’s objectives. This may include exhibition curators and museum research associates, as well as specialized art historians working in regions with substantial collections of Dutch and Flemish art but without a dedicated curator, and coordinators of institutions closely affiliated with CODART (e.g., RKD, HNA, KIK-IRPA). Associate memberships are subject to regular review.

Institutional Membership
Our website features an extensive list of museums housing public collections of Dutch and Flemish art created before approximately 1750. While inclusion on this list does not necessitate institutional membership, becoming an Institutional Member offers numerous advantages and provides direct support to our organization.
