21 March 2024: CODARTfocus Middelburg CANCELED

On Thursday, 21 March, CODART organizes a study visit to Middelburg where, in the Zeeuws Museum, an exhibition is dedicated to Adriaen van de Venne (1590-1662). The Inverted World of Adriaen van de Venne is the first major survey of his oeuvre and includes works from the Netherlands and abroad. Edwin Buijsen and Caroline van Santen, curators of the exhibition, will accompany the study visit. Besides visiting the Zeeuws Museum, a tour through the Zeeuws Archief is also planned. 16 April 2024: CODARTfocus Van Eyck

On Tuesday, 16 April, CODART organizes a study visit to the MusĂ©e du Louvre in Paris for the exhibition A New Look on Van Eyck. Madonna of Chancellor Rolin. The centerpiece of the exhibition will be Van Eyck’s newly restored Madonna of Chancellor Rolin, which will be accompanied by five other works by the artist. They will be joined by approximately 60 more masterpieces, including paintings by Rogier van der Weyden and from the workshop of the Master of FlĂ©malle, as well as precious manuscripts, drawings, sculptures and jewelry. 16-18 June 2024: CODART 25 in Stockholm

The 25th CODART congress will take place in Stockholm. Our main host will be the Nationalmuseum, which underwent an extensive renovation of the 150-year-old building before it reopened in 2018. The theme of CODART 25 will be: ‘Lessons Learned: Looking Back at Reinstalled Permanent Collections in the Past Decade’. 25 November 2024: CODARTfocus Van Heemskerck

On Monday, 25 November, CODART organizes a study visit to the Frans Hals Museum, Teylers Museum and Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, which are organizing the first large retrospective on Maarten van Heemskerck on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the death of the Haarlem painter. Save the date!
