CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

Our events

15-17 March 2026: CODART 27 Ghent

The 27th CODART congress will take place in Ghent from 15 to 17 March 2026. The Museum of Fine Arts (MSK) will be our main host for the three day event, during which we will discuss the theme ‘Telling Her Story: Female Creators, Collaborators and Collectors’. For the full program, please see the event page. The congress has reached its full capacity, it is no longer possible to register.

16 April 2026: CODARTfocus Collection Catalogues – Print vs. Pixel

Join us for an online CODARTfocus dedicated to collection catalogues. In this session, CODART brings together colleagues from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Berlin, to present their latest catalogues of Early Netherlandish painting. These projects represent two distinct approaches: one published as an innovative online resource and the other as a traditional print volume.

In the moderated discussion that follows, panelists will examine the relationship between the two formats. Drawing upon their recent experiences, the speakers will address the specific advantages and limitations of each medium, the possibilities for hybrid models, and the practical challenges they faced.

Date: Thursday, 16 April 2026
Time: 15:00 – 17:00 (CEST) | 9:00 – 11:00 am (EDT)

Registration opens soon. Please save the date!
